The nuptials came amid the rollout of Swift’s highly anticipated 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” which she will be promoting worldwide. Following the wedding, Swift is scheduled to appear on The Graham Norton Show in the U.K. on October 3 and will then travel to New York for a recording of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on October 6.
Swift and Gomez share a friendship spanning more than 15 years. The pair first met in 2008 and were spotted together on a dinner outing with Joe and Nick Jonas. At the time, Swift was dating Joe Jonas while Gomez was involved with Nick Jonas. According to Gomez’s mother, Mandy Teefey, the bride was escorted down the aisle by her grandfather, David Michael Cornet. Sharing her excitement on Instagram, Teefey wrote:
